Okay, it's been raining here on and off for too long. I know I shouldn't complain though. Like one old fellow told me this week "Never turn down rain in this country...we would be much worse off without it". But I need to see some blue sky!

Taken in the hamlet of Meskanaw on Hwy 41 on my way home from the farm last summer. There are quite a few little towns along that highway that are dying but they are so wonderful to photograph.

Another HDR image...I showed this image to my father-in-law and before I could even tell him what the placard on the side of the car said, he told me. Hugo sure knows his cars.

Update- It's a Chevrolet, Delray. I'm not sure what year but it looks like it could be a '58.

This is an HDR(high dynamic range). composite of three images I put together using Photomatix. I'm not a big fan of the surreal, dream-like HDR images out there. But when you really have to look to see to see if an image is processed using HDR then, I think, you've succeeded. I'm not sure if I've accomplished that with this image. What do you think?

On another note: Thanks to Jay and the folks over at Sutton Financial for displaying (and purchasing) one of my images for their front office. I hope you enjoy it!

Office Installation

Recently I was asked to hang some of my images in a
local law firm's office for a few months. I'd like to thank them for the opportunity and hope they enjoy the images. The pieces in the photo are two of the twelve hanging throughout the office and two thirds of a set for my wife for our kitchen. Thanks for letting me borrow them.

My brother and I found this trackhoe in a gravel pit near my parents farm. Our flashlights were running low on power so I shot this at ISO 800 for a shorter exposure.
