As part of our holidays this year we traveled to southern Saskatchewan and took in the Gateway Music Festival in Bengough Saskatchewan. The weather was a little cool but the music was great and we had a wonderful time. Just south of Bengough is Castle Butte, a 60m tall rock formation made up of mostly sandstone. We were able to explore some of the caves around the base and climb to the top. About half way up there is a trail that goes right around and this is the view to the North. I had some trouble with this image and couldn’t decide which I like better, the color or B&W version. I finally decided on the B&W because to me, it has a more dramatic feel to it. Take a look at the color version and let me know which you like better.
I like them both , B&W is more dramatic. What type of a filter did you have on?
Hi Bonnie, usually I have a polarizer filter on but I didn’t use a filter for this photo. I just used Lightroom and Silver Efex Pro to process the photo.
We vote for the black & white has a prehistoric feel.
